Conference Session - International Cultural Heritage Restitution: From Provenance Research to Collaborative Return

This session brings together students and advanced scholars to discuss ongoing provenance research that supports the return of cultural objects to their nations and communities of origin. Topics include graduate and undergraduate research on objects currently stewarded by the UCLA Waystation prior to their voluntary return, along with case studies examining the challenges of restitution—including Peruvian collections in the British Museum, Native American materials in Glasgow, and Philippine objects at the University of Michigan.
